When this customer contacted Conestoga about building he was 49, 2 children of his own and 1 grandchild. He is an airline employee with moderate construction skills.
Will [customer] was looking for a cabin kit to erect on 140 rural acres outside of Wilburton Oklahoma in the Arc du Bois mountains. Will was looking for a complete package kit- electrical, doors, windows, roofing, etc. The plans needed to be thorough and detailed, yet simple enough for a novice to understand for this DIY project. He wanted a quality product with technical support as needed.
Will chose the standard Outdoorsman 14.7×21 floorplan with no deviation. He also chose to have onsite engineering services provided by Conestoga for 3 days onsite.
“I researched companies that offered cabin kits for a month, both local (TX & OK) and national. I solicited bids from 6 companies- Conestoga had the most complete kit, competitive pricing, and salesman John was a wealth of information even before I chose Conestoga. Everything was on time and according to plan. Our engineer Eric was our hero- he showed up in Nowhere Oklahoma, rolled up his sleeves and jumped right into the project. When he left 3 days later, we were ready to put on the roof!
There were only two mistakes on the entire package- a missing window crank from a vendor, and an incorrect smoke detector due to changing vendors. Both were corrected by Conestoga immediately. Eric and John told me up front that they were always available, and have answered numerous calls without hesitation and with the correct information every time.
I am extremely pleased with my Outdoorsman and would highly recommend both Conestoga’s products AND service to anyone looking for a cabin or cabin kit!”
Pictures coming soon!
