Building Yourself?
When the straightforward elements of a Conestoga log home are considered, it may be within your realm to build one yourself. It really depends on your construction knowledge. You know yourself better than anyone, only you can make that decision. If you think you can, Conestoga has an experienced technical service staff if you encounter any glitches along the way. If there's any doubt and you feel it's just not in your repertoire, then we recommend hiring a trusted local contractor to build your dream.
Hiring a Local Contractor...
Conestoga believes there are simply too many advantages to ignore the hiring of a local contractor to assemble your home. The most obvious is that they're local! If something arises, their locality should result in one-on-one communication possibilities and improved response time on whatever is at hand.
Conestoga Construction Crews...
Our crews are not general contractors, their sole intent is errecting the shell of the home. If you neither want to build it yourself or hire a local contractor, crews are available. With a Conestoga construction crew, you're provided a knowledgeable crew that knows our product. Get your shell built so the more conventional contractors doing plumbing and mechanicals, can get the things done within their realm of knowledge.
For a more detailed description of what's included with the construction crew services, please see the crews' and owners' responsibility page.
